Can we center labour subjectivity in feminist politics?

When I wanted to know if they had any complaint mechanisms in the factory against sexual harassment, someone burst into laughter. One of them then said that most perpetrators of sexual violence are men linked to the management. The managerial staff were almost always closely related to the owners (via kinship ties and other types of regionalism). Another woman remarked, ‘How can we go against the power?’ Yet, another woman said, ‘Factory management keeps the complaint boxes like many other things, it is there just to manage the buyers.’ She then added, ‘Sometimes we also drop our written complaints, only to find that the cleaner has thrown them out the next day.
